...A NEW PROMPT!...
"Forest of Dragons"Prompt and dragon image is by [Yuriona]!</dgreen>Missing: </dgreen> |
Cody decided that he hated this place before he even stepped inside the door, glaring up at the old farmhouse as if he blamed it for everything. He missed the city, he missed his friends and in a way he even missed his mom even though it was her fault that his dad had brought him here. He sighed, grabbing a box of his stuff and following his dad inside.
"Do we have to stay here Dad?" he asked for the millionth time, "It doesn't look like anyone has lived here in forever and the woods behind the house are creepy!"
His dad shrugged and set down the box he had carried in.
"Sorry pal, we're here because I've got nowhere else to take you," he answered, sighing, "The woods aren't creepy, they're just overgrown. I spent nearly all my free time there when I was your age, exploring and stuff." He laid his hand on Cody's shoulder then.
"Don't worry we can make this work," he told his son, "all it needs is some paint and elbow grease. Come on, lets get the stuff in here first then we can figure out what else we need to do."
The two of them worked together to move everything into the house and it was late in the evening by the time Cody had his bedroom set up. It was on the back of the house with a window looking into the woods, which didn't impress him but none of the other bedrooms were big enough for his liking. He turned on his MP3 player and laid down to try and sleep but after a while he gave up. Even with the music on, he missed the sounds of the city and it was just too quiet to sleep.
He got up out of bed and walked to the window, leaning against the window frame as he looked out. He frowned then, seeing something unusual in the woods behind the house and since he couldn't sleep he grabbed a flashlight before heading downstairs and out of the house to investigate.

Daily Poem # 59!
"Happy =)"
| Happy go lucky, they say I am! | |
| Happy go lucky, it's all sweet peanut butter and jam!
We are so happy that God has given us,
This day and this night,
This darkness and light!
I am so happy that I can breathe!
| I am so glad that I can't believe | |
| That the world can be this nice and good.
I never knew life could
Be so positive and so delightful,
Rather than boring, ailed or dull.
So, when you wake up and smell the roses,
Remember to always be happy. :)

Daily Poem # 58!</center>
"I Love You"
As time slips away
I think of you
If only you'd say
You loved me too

All I do now
Is day dream of us
So take a bow
As you get on that bus
I miss you
I miss what we had
But all you do
Is make me sad
You don't love me
You don't care
Now I see
I was just a dare
I'm sick of your lies
It's drivin' me insane
I guess they're your disguise
'Cause you're just lame
You can't see me
'Cause you could care less
Can't you see
Your makin' me a mess
I guess I'm invisible
'Cause you can't see
This unbelievable person
Who loves you, me

...A NEW PROMPT!...
"Who Really Shrunk the Gorilla?"
</center>
The teeny-tiny, roly-poly, shrunken gorilla hopped off the back of the dragonfly, whooshing through the sky until he landed on a wayward oak leaf. Grunting, the gorilla hunkered down and carefully steered that wayward oak leaf across the prairie, between the rows of corn, and finally landed in front of the little, lost kitten curled up sound asleep in a sunbeam in front of the barn.
The teeny-tiny, roly-poly, shrunken gorilla wasn't in Zambia anymore . . .
The little, lost kitten woke up at last! Would she really know who shrunk him, deep in the rain forest half a world away?

"The Hungry Unicorn"
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
There once was a unicorn named Fred,
Who wanted to finally be fed.
He did it with no luck.
His horn got stuck
And he stayed there until he got fed.

<center>Falling In Love Completely
A regular poems' submission.</center></green>
"Falling in love with you I had not planned
Nothing is the same
Sometimes I am so confused
By my own thoughts or dreams
You were so handsome
Believing I loved you
But oh my gosh
I love you so much more
So much more
Oh my love
Stay with me
So much further
In the future
Loving forever
With me
Oh no
My love
So far
I love you
Oh so tender
Love me
Like you always done
Because I can't live on
Without you
No matter what others think
We're the same
Loving each other forever
Loving until the end of the earth
Or time
Or even beyond that
Suns and planets wide
Mountains high
And oceans deep
Loving you
Makes my life... Complete."
