By [Mrs.Cullen]:

...Cody made sure to close the door to the backyard silently, because he knew his father was sleeping. The second he was outside, a fresh wind lifted his hair. He hated it. He hated the smell of pine that the wind brought, because it reminded him of the air freshener he used in his bathroom at the city. He still thought the woods were creepy, but his curiosity was way too big to not at least go a little closer. So with out thinking about it, Cody started walking towards the place where he saw the unusual shape. He figured that if it was an animal like a wolf, he would have more to complain to his father.

He found nothing when he got to the spot were he saw the strange shape, nothing except some foot prints leading to the depths of the forest, but those weren't normal footprints of animals or of humans. The footprints were five times Cody's father's feet! Let me tell you, Cody's father's feet were really, really big. Instead of freaking out or getting scared or telling his father, Cody just stood there planning his 'adventure' for tomorrow in his head. Cody was like his mother and wasn't easily scared. In fact he hated not knowing things and wouldn't settle with not knowing those things.

"This place might not be so boring after all..." Cody whispered to himself with a suspicious grin while he walked back to the house. He knew he had to sleep now because there would be some heavy investigating tomorrow...

Daily Poem # 63!

<img:stuff/z/5/ET%2520Emotions/dandy.gif> "Shattered Heart" <img:stuff/z/5/ET%2520Emotions/dandy.gif>

So there's this boy,
Who I talked to a few weeks ago,
Now we've known each other a long time,
Just never spoken much before.

So we hooked up,
And it was great,
But after a while
It wasn't the same.

I waited a while,
To see if it would end
And what did I see?
Another girl from the street.

Now I must admit,
I got jealous and mad,
And I must've hated that girl (just a tad)
So I looked around, at a few guys,
And I got one that my guy would despise.

My plan worked, but it wasn't very good,
Because in the end, I realized something:
That my man loved me for all that I was,
And I practically did what I didn't want to do.

I made him go away, and I was too foolish to realize,
That I caused this, and I brought this upon myself..
He broke my heart once, twice, thrice, four times so far.
And I was too foolish to realize.
And I am too foolish to realize

He  will
 break  my heart
And  I  will let him break it
 Time  and  time  again..

<img:stuff/z/5/ET%2520Emotions/dandy.gif> "I Am Proud To Be An Idiot" <img:stuff/z/5/ET%2520Emotions/dandy.gif>

I am proud to be an idiot
Even tho' I may get teased,
Because when I am an Idiot
The burden can never rest on me.
I am proud to be an idiot,
Because it can make a great excuse
And since I am an idiot
I get to say, 'what the duce'.

Daily Poem # 61!

<img:stuff/z/5/ET%2520Emotions/dandy.gif> "The Troll Salesman" <img:stuff/z/5/ET%2520Emotions/dandy.gif>

<img:stuff/z/5/ET%2520Emotions/sly.gif>
There once was a troll, who was really tall
He had yellow teeth and was ugly
He smelled really bad (that fact made him glad)
and a big rotten grin he wore smugly

But each Halloween, he had to get clean
'cause elseway he had to accept sweets
For kids in the street were going "Trick or treat"
and stealing his job. Those gits!

So now he decided (though the idea he chided)
each year to sell books that were sappy
Now Halloween means a wig and not to smell like a pig
and ladies that buy books and are happy!

Cody decided that he hated this place before he even stepped inside the door, glaring up at the old farmhouse as if he blamed it for everything. He missed the city, he missed his friends and in a way he even missed his mom even though it was her fault that his dad had brought him here. He sighed, grabbing a box of his stuff and following his dad inside.

"Do we have to stay here Dad?" he asked for the millionth time, "It doesn't look like anyone has lived here in forever and the woods behind the house are creepy!"

His dad shrugged and set down the box he had carried in.

"Sorry pal, we're here because I've got nowhere else to take you," he answered, sighing, "The woods aren't creepy, they're just overgrown. I spent nearly all my free time there when I was your age, exploring and stuff." He laid his hand on Cody's shoulder then.

"Don't worry we can make this work," he told his son, "all it needs is some paint and elbow grease. Come on, lets get the stuff in here first then we can figure out what else we need to do."

The two of them worked together to move everything into the house and it was late in the evening by the time Cody had his bedroom set up. It was on the back of the house with a window looking into the woods, which didn't impress him but none of the other bedrooms were big enough for his liking. He turned on his MP3 player and laid down to try and sleep but after a while he gave up. Even with the music on, he missed the sounds of the city and it was just too quiet to sleep.

He got up out of bed and walked to the window, leaning against the window frame as he looked out. He frowned then, seeing something unusual in the woods behind the house and since he couldn't sleep he grabbed a flashlight before heading downstairs and out of the house to investigate.

I had a little chuckle,
about a little buckle,
that was stuck upon a wall,
with a picture of a ball,
with two people kicking a bowl,
when I realized I participated in a poll!
